Today Mike and I traveled to Unity, Maine, where we attended a CSA Conference featuring long-time CSA farmer, and personal inspiration to Mike, Elizabeth Henderson of Peaceworks Farm. Her talk, focusing on what CSA's can do for their community, was motivating to us as we come into our second season here at First Light Farm. It's always nice to be reminded how the CSA model, focusing solely on the community it serves, also supports us as farmers in having a lifestyle which we find richly rewarding.

Hello Members...Seems hard to believe with all the snow still around that in a few weeks we will be spending our days in the greenhouse seeding what will become delicious vegetables for you to enjoy in June. This blog will have updates on the farms news throughout the year. Here we will post what's in your box for the week, recipes for enjoying those vegetables and other information about the farm.
