some promising new recruits
The last "Winter Share" distribution will be Tuesday May 24, 3:30-6pm, at Valley View Farm in Topsfield. This spring has gone from cold and dry to cold and wet. Never the less, we are pretty much on schedule and expect the Summer CSA to begin mid June. these pics were all taken mid may:  where First Light Farm started --the greenhouse in my mom's backyard. it is now full of garlic that has kept reproducing since we planted it Fall '08  our early tomato crop   early zucchini under a blanket. the field in the backround is in a cover crop of Oats and Field Peas. They will build up the soil biology so we have healthy crops this fall.  the Oat/Pea cover crop  any guesses? |
