Half Shares 05/15/2009

Many of you have written saying that you are interested in buying a half share. I've been doing my best to connect people but I figured I'd also open up this space for people to make their own connections if they wish. Thank you to everyone for being patient while I find matches....Caitlin

Dear Caitlin,
Thankyou for providing this thoughtful service. It gives me the sense that you are genuinely accessable.
So here is my delimma: my friend was interested in splitting a share with me, but i want the whole share myself. i've heard that you will be conciously assembling the shares each week with items that go well together, and also providing us with recipe themes. each vegetable in the share becomes special not just individually, but collectively. We can explore the ways in which the veges work together.
i'm looking forward to your tried, true, and delicious suggestions for making the most of each and every vege in that box! i just don't think it'd be right to split the share up each week.
if i must split a share for financial or logistical reasons, perhaps alternating weeks would be a better option??? at least then we each get a FULL share every other week. and with the Full share, i think we will see much more value, like your wise benevelent intention makes the Whole share greater than the sum of its vegetables.
how can help my friend see the light??

Michael

Happiness consists in activity. It is running stream, not a stagnant pool.
