Two weeks into Distribution 06/25/2009
![]() After what seems like forever, I finally saw some sun today, and it was wonderful. With all this rain we've barely gotten into the fields over the past week and a half and that is torture when you want to be farming. Weeds can amazingly continue to grow with very little sunlight while our tender cultivated varieties of vegetables seem frozen in time. But don't fear, even with just these few hours of sunshine this afternoon I could see the tomatoes growing taller. Above is the broccoli raab, I was disappointed when it flowered, but happy to find out that the blossoms are delicious and it serves as a great habitat for our bees, insects that are essential to many of our crops.
