What does CSA mean?

First Light Farm CSA
Flavor: Sweet, earthy and juicy orange fleshed melon.
Benefits: Excellent source of Vitamin A and C as well as beta carotene.
Storage Tips: Store in a cool, dry place. Ours will be picked ripe, so they should be enjoyed immediately.
Cooking and Preparation: Wash rind well, cut melon in half and scoop out the seeds before preparing. Slice fresh melon or use ice cream scoop or spoon to make melon balls.
Melon salad with fresh mint and local honey
Time: 10 minutes
1 ripe cantaloupe
1/4 cup local honey
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
1 tbsp. hot water
Wash rind, remove entire rind with a sharp knife, cut melon in half and remove seeds. Cut into 1/8th inch slices.
Whisk together honey and hot water.
Sliver mint leaves, add to honey dressing and toss with the thinly sliced cantaloupe.
Enjoy as a summer breakfast or a light dessert topped with mascarpone cheese.
