Mike

Originally from Beverly, Mike Raymond brings over 15 years of organic farming experience to your table, w/seasons farming in VT, MA, AR, and CT.  Having sold produce through CSA, farm stands, farmer's markets, and wholesale, he prefers the CSA model with its focus on cooperation and reciprocity. 


Caitlin

Originally from Ipswich, Caitlin has traveled the world studying sustainable agriculture and how it has helped the communities she has visited. Happy to be back in her own community, she feels proud to be able to have the chance to grow high quality, organic produce in the place she considers home.


Brian

From Topsfield, Brian will be joinging First Light Farm this year before he's off to Western Mass, where he will study vegetable and small fruit production at the Stockbridge School, our country's first agricultural school. He hopes one day to start his own sustainable organic farm. Brian feels good about contributing his efforts to make First Light Farm the best CSA in the Northeast, if not the world.


Michael

Born in rural Louisiana & raised on the south shore, Michael went to college for Conservation Biology and has been bartending ever since.  Still behind the bar at night, Michael is at First Light Farm to get dirty working and learn the ropes of farming that he can one day have his own sustainable community oriented farm.


Christian

Originally from Beverly, Christian has spent many long days canoeing the Allagash river with Mike. Those adventures, and growing up with gardens brings him to First Light Farm many afternoons to lend a hand. Christian enjoys digging in the dirt after his day job in the machine shop.


Sarah

After several years of tending bar in Western Mass, Sarah is excited to be by the seashore, get outdoors, and learn to grow food. Born in Salt Lake City, Sarah grew up in Brattleboro Vermont, and went to school at UMass Amherst. She has been a shareholder at the Food Bank Farm in Hadley, and has long believed in the importance of fresh, locally grown, community-controlled food.


Thom

Thom went to high school in Topsfield, and returns each summer to get his hands dirty. He has been studying art and Art History, but believes that the most worthwhile thing to do right now is learn how to grow food. He believes there is no reason not to be self-reliant in the future, and wants to get a head start. In the future Thom will be writing while traveling the world.
